Sunsynk + Home Assistant

I managed to get home assistant set up using Kellerza's integration and have managed to get the power flow card going this morning!

Do people use the power flow card on its own? Or add it as part of a larger dashboard? I have a 10" tablet that I've set up in the kitchen and looking for some cool dashboard ideas.

Anyone want to brag with a screen shot of their dashboard for some inspiration?

Some ideas here https://github.com/slipx06/Sunsynk-Home-Assistant-Dash

I've made some layout changes so the screenshots are a bit dated. Probably wont work on a tablet but there are lots of cards to chose from.

Anyone having issues with their Solcast intergation into HA? Mine stopped working on Saturday.

Can't get it to work again, even reset the APi key.

Quick question before I go down the rabbit hole of installing SQL on HA, is there a quick way or sensors using Kellerza's integration to get monthly grid import/export like on the the Sunsynk app and Energy dashboard?

I looked thru the definitions.py but couldn't see anything that jumped out at me. Mostly online I see people are using SQL to extract the data displayed in the Energy dashboard using custom SQL sensors. Want to use the two sensors in automations but can't find anything that seems to have the information.

I'm not sure / aware of the SQL route but you can create a utility meter helper sensor from the HA front-end.

I am stuggling to get the portforwarding to work on my network locked router. Seems to struggle with DuckDns setup.

Anyone paying for the cloud? Worth it?

I pay Nabucasa for 2 years now and have no problems. I think it is worth it. It makes my life easier.

Could something like Tailscale work for you?

Could something like Tailscale work for you?

Tailscale is awesome and I still use it, but I found that it uses a lot of resources on my phone when active. Battery drains fast and phone gets warm. I used it initially to control HA when away from home, but eventually switched to Nabu Casa which is worth it if you need to access your HA remotely.

The nice thing with Tailscale is that your HA can be an exit node, and then you can access everything else on your network as well.

I tried this and it says connected but still can't access the HA IP for some reason. Installed it on my phone and both say connected but still can't access it remotely via my phone.

Might have to give the Nabu Casa a try as mentioned by @furpile

You need to setup a subnet router if you want to access HA with its local IP address.

I set it up exactly like the video and used the IP from Tailscale. No success.

Not sure what you mean by "used the IP from Tailscale", but you should be able to use the HA IP address you use when on your internal network.

Exciting New Features

  • feat: you can now display extra sensor data for your additional essential loads e.g. daily energy or temperature etc. The following optional entities can be used: essential_load1_extra and essential_load2_extra. This data is not displayed on the full card if show_aux: true due to insufficient space.

Anyone mapped the entities from SolarAssistant to the YAML file yet?

Painfully going through it one by one trying to change the entity names

I haven't had the time to build the select thing to see what mode the inverter is on, etc (so that's still default)
I also have my own template sensors (or utility meters built in HA for the stuff I am interested in)
