Super bad latency with afrihost

I remember the good old ISDN days; 250ms to WoW servers in US.

Unless you use some kind of lowerping service, I agree. Afrihost just cannot handle playing WoW with any decent latency.

Atm i cant even play wow on afrihost using lower ping i Just keep dcing or lagging out, on my telkom account it works 100%

I'm on Axxess. Can't even raid anymore either. Constant DC's. Its better I wait till I get on WA else I'm gonna quit WoW at this rate.

Give it a try to London. Anway I've conceded my defeat. Had to log onto an alt to excuse myself, unable to even log into my main in ICC.

I've also cancelled my Axxess accounts and got WA unshaped for raiding and shaped for usually daily stuff.

Works great so far.

Used afrihost last night and had 250-280ms in a 25man raid the hole night hoping it stays that way

The problem im having with afrihost is they seem to be throttling the traffic so badly, that all the packets of data cant get through at the same time...hence lag spikes and eventual disconnects on fights.
(I dont have this problem on my telkom account btw).

Ive given up on them now, and will prolly get either a propper axxess or a WA account to raid on.

Same on Axxess unshaped, constant 1k no matter where I go. Moving to WA on Monday.

Same was ok for 2days or so now its back to 1k ms, just canceld my afrihost account. WA accounts are a bit expensive compared to afrihost but i guess you pay for what you get
