****ing hate that Andy Capostagno guy. Adds no value except for telling you which schools the players are from.
So the Cheetahs and the Kings will be cut from Super Rugby next year....
Is it official?
Sad state of affairs!!
Cheetahs to get payout if axed
The Cheetahs will be offered a two-year payment from Sanzaar if they are axed from Super Rugby.
Sanzaar is set to reduce the number of teams in the tournament from 18 to 15 next season, with the Kings, Cheetahs and Rebels reportedly in the firing line.
According to the Sunday Times, the Cheetahs would receive a two-year 'sweetener', as they are still a Super Rugby entity under the current agreement.
They should start negotiating to bring in Jimmy Stonehouse as coach. Nollis Marais must go.Pathetic game by the Bulls, don't know what's up with the team, but I can't see them getting anyware this season with the rubbish they are currently dishing up as rugby. Lots of exciting good young players but something's just not working there, maybe it's time to start pointing fingers at the coach? Anyway if they continue like this they will get hammered oversees.
Jake White linked to job in Japan
Cape Town - Former Springbok coach Jake White is reportedly the favourite to become the new head coach of Japanese club Toyota Verblitz.
According to Afrikaans newspaper, Rapport, representatives of the Japanese club visited White in France last week to finalise his appointment.
White currently coaches Top 14 club Montpellier but his tenure there will end when the current European season concludes.
Stormers understrength for Singapore trip
The DHL Stormers will be travelling to Singapore to play the Sunwolves in their fourth Vodacom Super Rugby match of the season on Saturday without their Springboks and with several other players sidelined with injury.
The Stormers had to fight back just to draw when they played the Japanese team at the same venue last year so there is no question of them underestimating the Sunwolves as they go out in quest of what would be their fourth win in four starts in their campaign thus far. However, they do have to rest their Boks at some stage, which is why Eben Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Frans Malherbe weren’t considered for selection.

Cooper handed three-game ban
Reds flyhalf Quade Cooper has been banned for three Super Rugby games following his sending off for a dangerous tackle against South Africa's Lions at the weekend.
Cooper, who was fortunate to avoid being sanctioned for a no-arms tackle earlier in the game, was red-carded early in the second half for a high tackle on Janse van Rensburg as the Reds crashed to a humiliating 44-14 loss at Ellis Park.
The competition's governing body, Sanzaar, said in a statement that Cooper's tackle merited a six-week ban but that its judicial committee reduced the sentence after taking the player's disciplinary record into account.
"With respect to sanction the Judicial Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of six weeks," Sanzaar said.
The player is therefore suspended for three weeks, up to and including Saturday, 8 April 2017."
Cooper will miss the Reds' games against the Jaguares, Hurricanes and Brumbies, but will be available to face the Southern Kings at the Suncorp Stadium on April 15.
Stormers dealt another injury blow
Cape Town - Stormers centre Huw Jones has torn his hamstring playing for Scotland in the Six Nations and will undergo surgery in London.
It is a huge blow for the Cape Town-based franchise, and it means that Jones will not be able to train for four to five months as he joins fellow Stormers midfielders Juan de Jongh and Damian de Allende on the sidelines.
