Blues just grew stronger as the game progressed. Unreal. Lions were murdered at the breakdowns and bullied upfront in general. Out muscled. Injuries to Whiteley and Brink didn't help either.
Lions tactical kicking was nowhere, Andries under pressure the whole game, when they reverted to their traditional running game they conceded turnovers at crucial times and paid dearly...

All this does is throw next week's prediction of the Blues vs The Stormers into turmoil. I was expecting the Lions to run roughshod over the Blues, totally demoralising them and leaving them ripe of the picking. But now... I don't know.
On Whiteley, the news is apparently encouraging. He just wasn't feeling any stability in that knee, and not that it was in pain. So hopefully he's back sooner than later.
