Surtie Inheritance Scam

It's still on this thread. Long story short, The Public Protector stepped in and said ABSA should pay back the loan Bankkorp received. This included the Surtie funds. It went all the way to the Constitutional Court where they ended up slapping personal costs on the Public Protector because from a legal perspective the answer will always be NO! Because the money is long gone as is Bankkorp.

Nothing is impossible, there's always laws that can change and it it technically possible to appeal a concourt ruling, but at this point in time AFAIK the only outstanding issue regarding this case is how much the Public Protector should pay in costs.

Oh well thats ashame..actually thought before the year ends we would get it..well lets keep on waiting..its coming though

It's possible, but I must stress as from the 22nd of July this year the Apex court have said NO and since then there's been no movement whatsoever bar how much the PP should pay.

I'm not negative. There was literally a court case that went all the way to the Constitutional Court where they told the Public Protector that ABSA does not have to pay back the money. They also applied a costs order against her. I'm being a realist here. Would you like a copy of the Concourt verdict?
