Survey Statistics
Who's the best ISP?
I know everyone is interested in this, so I made sure to put it early on.
***Remember: The survey was created to determine which ISP delivers the best quality regardless of the price. Cheapest isn't always the best!
According to this survey, it boils down to these two ISP's: Afrihost & Mweb. The winner I would say is Mweb whereas Afrihost comes in at second place. The last question "Would you recommend this ISP & particular option to someone?" is extremely important and 4 people chose "No, not even if they are desperate" as their answer for Afrihost. Mweb on the other hand, did not have any such responses. Thus, Mweb is the winner!
Now I am sure that many will post and state that I cannot simply award Mweb 1st place based on 4 people or one particular question - it does sound very short-sighted, I agree - yet I do have my reasons and here they are:
In the end, the overall response is the one that counts. The finer details (such as the quality of the customer service) are contributing factors toward this response. So in short, if you want to make a decision based on this survey, look at the overall results and then look at why these results were achieved.
This is my analysis, of course, and my reasoning could be seriously flawed. What you make of this is up to you. The results are still available for scrutiny by clicking the link in the section below.
Conclusion
Sadly this survey cannot really be conclusive, because too few people filled it in and the rapid changes in the broadband market made it outdated. Does this mean that the survey is useless? I don't think so. This survey gave us a brief overview of the impact and the response these new uncapped packages had on consumers. And I am sure that for many the data gathered will help them in making a good decision. (read the disclaimer, though)
In the future, when things have stabalised, we could have another survey and see how things have progressed. Until then, please post your comments and questions in this thread.
Thank you to all the people who took the time to complete this survey.

Disclaimer
I am in no way affiliated with MyBroadband or any ISP. I am merely a consumer and user on the forums trying to make the best choice for uncapped internet while at the same time trying to help others in making the best choice too.
Please do not regard the results as absolute. This is a reference. If you go out and purchase the package and you are unsatisfied with their (the ISP) service then that is your problem. Neither myself, nor MyBroadband or any person who filled in this survey can be held liable for any damages, loss of revenue etc. you incurred based on the information from this survey.

Now I am sure that many will post and state that I cannot simply award Mweb 1st place based on 4 people or one particular question - it does sound very short-sighted, I agree - yet I do have my reasons and here they are:
- 65 people are unfortunately not enough for a proper analysis and so I decided to compromise.
- The last question of the survey can be regarded as a statement based on the previous answers given. If the previous answers were given in a negative light then it stands to reason that the person would not recommend the ISP.
In the end, the overall response is the one that counts. The finer details (such as the quality of the customer service) are contributing factors toward this response. So in short, if you want to make a decision based on this survey, look at the overall results and then look at why these results were achieved.
