I just had to post this somewhere.

At 15:23 my connection the my ISP went down. The firewall I use was retrying ever since till I got home at after 4pm. First tried a few things. unpacked my old modem and checked everything.

Phoned telkom and they said the DSL is suspended due to payment. Got put through to accounts where they confirm my account is paid up. Put back through to Telkom ISP... Wrong place, Don't have telkom as an ISP.
Phoned again DSL support anmd all they can say is "We will escalate" They can't even say what or when the problem should be fixed

In the meantime... I can't use my ADSL.
 
In the mean time, have you checked your ISP? When your ISP suspends your account one way of knowing is that your router will still sync...
 
All Telkom can say is that it is suspended.

I have another ADSL account. Also does not work.
The ADSL router is syncing.
 
Strange, unable to connect to my Telkom account as well.
