Look my wife is happy about the purchase <-- all that matters
Its her primary console and she only hated the controllers. I can blame her.

My thinking:
If you want mobile gaming the ROG & Steam deck are way better fit for purpose.
As a 2nd/3rd console the Switch 1 is still a better fit just to get access to exclusives.
and Nothing beats the Switch lite for kids.
 
i have everything setup, just one or two more games downloading e.g. Mario Odyssey. Really just to test the updated performance.

The console feels premium, screen is great. Very happy with my purchase and right now very sorry for myself for not taking leave for today.

Audio is also lekker.

Just the battery for me is the issue.

I took 2 days off but been working.

Yeah i took it off the charger while downloading to test the battery and definitely not great.

Fortunately most of my gaming will be docked

That can also be true, and the price of it quite steep for most people and games going for 80-90 euros here in Netherlands. I am just surprised to see that you can actually get one easy when we had botched launches in last 5 years, and people paid premium for PS5 from scalpers.
 
Nintendo has been vocal about their intentions to have enough stock available at launch to, among other things, thwart scalpers. That could be working for them, but my synical self hope its not selling too well. Which will maybe lead to a 3DS situation...

Sales guy responsible for the gaming section was the most uninterested salesman ever (usually you have the opposite problem).

He didn't even know there was a Switch 2 Pro controller till I spotted it hidden in the back of their lock-up cabinet when he was getting the Switch 2 out :ROFL:

I think Makro and Builders Warehouse employ from the same group of people who have zero interest what they do.

I did say I'm going to wait until after launch and see the reviews, seems like a solid device and I really would like to play BOTW finished finally without it chugging along and looking like doodoo.
