Sybaritic trouble

As I explained earlier,it's entirely understandable if this is coil whine that it might not be noticeable because the test stations aren't necessarily configured to run the same load conditions as the consumer machine. Is it a problem? Yes,but it's quite specific and as such needs to be replicated exactly

I'm going out on a limb here by saying maybe he bought a supposedly silent PSU which turned out to be not-so-silent.
Worst case scenario, something inside the psu is on the fritz, as is evident from his description of the noise, and a similar issue he had in factory automation, as stated previously (goes to show he's not exactly new to electronics).
At best, it's a product not working as advertised, ie not silent- which again, is reason enough for replacement or reimbursement.

Way to assume everything and then even go on to make conclusions based on assumptions
If it is indeed coil whine, guess what?! Its perfectly ok! Just goes to show how utterly clueless some people are about electronics. Yes, the noise could be something else. But, it could also be simple coil whine. With two reports stating the PSU is fine, guess what I'm inclined to believe? That the noise increases under load makes me think even more its coil whine, cause thats exactly how it behaves

If I spent in excess of 30 grand in total at a shop, and this is the level of service I get when something goes wrong, I'd throw a tantrum too.

You'd throw a temper tantrum like a 3 year old girl who didnt get some chocolate? :wtf: LOL
There are civilised ways of getting your grievances out there. Lots and lots of ways. Many of which dont require you to be a ****

Hey I like chocolate...

In light of my 'assumptions' I'll wait for his reply on my question above.

Too be honest and you can take this from a business owner

If you spoke to me like that on my company forum I also would not credit you and tell you to go f**k a sheep

I can understand that this frustrates you but do not bad mouth them and why come and post the link here ?

Would it make any difference if it was c*n*s*o*r*e*? I thought it seemed a lot more brash because the swear filter was off.

A replacement or a credit I'd imagine.

Perhaps its his first time returning something and he is not sure about how to do it ...

Clearly there is nothing wrong with the PSU I see someone mentioned 30k here did the OP spend 30k @ sybaritic ?

Yes, in total over the years, he has spent over 30k at Sybaritic alone. It's also not the first time he had to return a faulty product.

Well that changes things a bit, but one should not resort to publicly bashing a company

At the end of the day both Sybaritic and cooler master tested it without faults

Difficult to credit something that's not faulty though ....

Why not? He is an unhappy customer expressing his views, as mentioned in his thread his mails were going unanswered.

In reply to byron_spy:
I get what you're saying, but it doesn't change the fact that the unit wasn't working as it should have, even when other units tested in the same system did.

And yes, one would think a customer who spent that much in the past would be worth something. But the sad part is it shouldn't even be a factor, customer satisfaction and after-sale service shouldn't be bound to one's spending history.

Well

His reply on their forum

"Tell me Graeme, WTF am I supposed to do with this PSU?????
If its acceptable for you ****in use it yourself!!!!!!!
CREDIT the damn thing if its good enough for you.

You just don't care. Consumer Protection Act and all...
Consumer right no. 8 : Right to fair value, good quality and safety.

CoolerMaster told met to contact my supplier (Sybaritic), You told me to contact your supplier!!!!!!!!

"beyond the call of duty" - seriously??? I think you were playing call of duty while I sat here with no PC."

Now ....

I agree with them as follow the reply from Sybaritic

"We booked the unit in twice for you; both times it came back with no fault found. We even tried to reproduce the problem on our side here; no fault found.

We cannot replace units that come back with no fault, and cannot credit items that are not faulty after two weeks of purchase. "

I agree this is a business not a charity organization

Why do they say it works then ?:wtf:

Should the power supply not work then a refund must be done but if it works well then .....

I told him I'm going public if he carries on with his nonsense.
This fight has been going on longer than just yesterday.
He drove me to that level.
Have you ever spoken to a tree? - That's how I feel when speaking to Graeme IF he decides to reply on his mails.

I have not spent nearly as much $$$ there, but on more than one occasion Sybaritic picked up a faulty product/cartridge by courier and sent out a replacement at their own cost. All I had to do was have a chat with eg. Graeme. A civilized chat.

When you received this item ? Was the packaging damaged ?

You're not getting a lot of support here; so what makes you think your uncivilised tantrum will get you support elsewhere?
