Sybaritic trouble

He expects another PSU as the one he has is faulty

So you agree now? :D ;)

Waiting on a reply for the below

Dude, read this thread, I've pointed out already to him that the PSU he has is not a 'silent' model. What rubbed me is the poor customer service that started this whole problem, something you seemed to have deflected from when I asked :

Reread his first post on the other forum and put yourself in the same position, would you be a happy customer?

You have no idea how many mails I have sent and phone calls I have made to get Graeme to just give me a little feedback.
At the end of the day after being nice did not work. So this is the result of graeme ignoring me.

And if a product states that it is super silent, its one of the things that counts.

According to Chapter 2, Section 56, ot the CPA, a consumer can return goods to a supplier within 6 months of their delivery, if the goods fail to satisfy the agreed standards and requirements (which state that the goods must be in good working order, free of defects etc). This return must take place without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense.
The supplier must either repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective goods, or refund the consumer.

Yes I dont have a idea

Being "ignored" means you can slander Graham and his company ?

Take him to court the case will cost you at least R5k and too be honest if the noise is the only thing that's wrong you will loose the case

One would expect Xyler to have a PSU tester seeing that from his claims he buys alot of parts, pc etc

^^ Should the above be true its a defective product that should be replaced immediately

Unless he's a technician why on earth would you need a PSU tester? The cheap ones are just elaborate multimeters, I've only ever seen the expensive ones in industrial/manufacturing environments.

If this is true then yes I agree

I would want to see a report of them putting the PSU under load. If the under/over voltage and current protection is not working it can cause all sorts of problems.

Could you please list in point format what you feel from step 1 is poor service from Sybaritic and what you feel they can do to better this

... and which category does your problem fall under?

Failed to comply to its own standards.
Unsafe because it can cause irritation.
Defective goods because its not as advertised.

I am a web developer and I have one bought it a year ago for R4800 :) The ones on bidorbuy for R200 is a joke

^^ Does this make me a technician now ? ;)

What according to you is the product standards ?

Can you prove that this power supply is unsafe ?

Defective can you proof this ?

Yes well done, Sybaritic responded... after two months! Do you know how frustrating that must've been? Sitting with a new PC with no PSU for even a week of no feedback, would probably have me going out and buying a second one too. Then to suddenly get feedback and told it's fine. Sjoe.

Well I'm glad you have that sort of money to throw around. And what made you buy the PSU tester? :erm:

What did the report say? Did it have any voltage tests etc?

it is not < 20dBA.

If someone with sinus pressure uses it the high pitch noise of this psu can cause major irritation and even headaches.
and people can get aggressive and physical when their irritated.

Its noisy.

/facepalm - BTW you still haven't clarified if other CoolerMaster PSUs are also noisy in your rig (post 119).

That refers to the fan. Not the unexpected coil whine it produces in your machine.

It states the PSU is < 20dBA, not the fan only.

And then why would a 3 year old 550W CM PSU of the same series have no issues whatsoever?

I do server management for a local company and then for myself as well, I felt a need for it and bought it

Not one of the above will stand in a court of law

Yes the judge will find it amusing and throw out the case

Now back to my initial post

Can you proof that its not < 20dBA ?

Is the psu now in your current pc ?

Did you wait 2 months after reporting this psu as faulty to receive any feedback whatsoever from Sybaritic ?
