While evaluating the chinese brands I came accross this tech support gem, possibly a lost in translation error.

These tablets have a quirk where the pin needs to be entered in one shot..... the admin seems to be confusing the lockscreen with the bootloader.....

BTW is there a concensus on Blackview devices?

Do you self a favor get this, gearbest is trust worthy, and is shipped via buffalo couriers to your door.Dixon is okay, however the specs are lackluster and won't last as long, app support wise like this one, with shipping and every thing works out exactly the same price maybe slightly cheaper.

T5 uses Kirin 659 and M40 using tiger t618

T5 has a antutu score of 75K -85k and the Tiger 618 a score of 210k+-, in other words the M40 is about 3 times as fast the huawei T5.

Yeah I wouldn't even consider the T5.

Not sure on your budget.. I got a Samsung Tab A 2019 T515 yesterday. Its for my child, seems to be pretty good thus far.
Seen them go for between 3-4k. There's an 8" version which is slightly cheaper.

+1 got one for my kid as well with a rubberized case, been dropped several times but still going strong and good value for money.

You are aware that the Teclast M40 is 3K, 2 odd grand less and twice the speed, good value for 2gig ram and 32 gig rom. Hell no. TPU case for the m40 is R120 bucks, versus 400 for a samsung case. Even the P20HD is slighty faster and still better value.

Holy &&$&$ Quad Core MT8321 released back in 2016 almost 5 years ago. 1.9k for 3g and mali 400 graphics, meaning 60% of games on the play store your kid can't even play and android 7 which will never be updated versus P20HD which will also never get updated but at least has android 10.

You better of getting the P20HD or this Fire tablet Kids edition, while costs more it is actually geared towards kids.

Well it is currently the best budget tablet of 2020.Stock is hard to find due to covid some warehouses aren't shipping here for the same reason. You may have some luck on eBay or Amazon, additionally it is holiday season, pretty much the wrong time to get any thing done internationally in a reasonable time.

Only one warehouse, version refers to power connector so other is fine it is cheaper as well
