Takealot.com screwing up Fallout 4 pre orders on PC

I am a grumpy panda. What is the use of pre-ordering from Takealot if they can only deliver the game a week after the release date :

Please be advised this mail is with regards to the pre-order you made for this game on the 28 July 2015. We regret to inform you that our supplier have just informed us that we will be receiving our Fallout 4 on pc later than the expected date.

This is due to their second shipment of stock arriving late due to a sequence of unfortunate events. The stock will arrive with us around 2-3 days after release so there is a slight chance that you will receive your stock before the weekend but to be safe we need to assume you will only get your order from Monday the 16th November

Sounds to me like they accepted more pre-orders than they had copies available.
 
How is it Takealot's fault that their supplier failed them ?

If they didn't take another shipment people would be complaining about them not having enough stock.

Just cancel order and do it online or something, tired of mybb just being one big rage venting fest, grow up.
 
Seeing that I pre-ordered back in July straight after they became available I am slightly grumpy about being bumped to the back of the queue.
 
Takealot.com is screwing up everything. I bought a high pressure washer last month on special and in stock, but weeks later I get an email saying that they don't have any.

The same thing happened today, 3 weeks after I bought a Kenwood blender.

These people seriously get their **** together. I'm done. I will be buying Fallout elsewhere I'm afraid.

I can't get ADSL so I am capped and on Wireless. Not sure I want to download the whole 30gig. I will see if raru.co.za can still fulfill pre-orders and if they can I will cancel and order through there.
 
Hmmm has anyone else gotten the same email for their fallout 4 copy? I ordered the pipboy and now I'm wondering if they will get this at all if they can't fulfill a normal fallout 4 order on time
 
F***, I haven't received the email yet. Though there support confirms this and my order will be updated shortly -_-. Maybe I Should of paid the steam price for no stress.

Since when is it the consumer problem or fault that they used incompetent suppliers. When you preorder a game you expect to play it on launch day no if's or but's.

Hence why I refuse to use any SA retailer for any games on pre-order, they have shown time and again they can't meet expectations...The only time I will use them is for special ce editions.
 
I haven't received any email. Their website is now showing the new shipping date.
Wonder if it affects all pc pre-orders or if they are going to be able to fulfill some orders for the original launch date.

looks like if you want to cancel on takealot that will only credit your account -_-

I disagree, if takealot is messing up then why should the OP not warn others that might want to make use of the same service? I feel that in this case the rant is warranted and the audience is very relevant.
