TakeAlot Incorrect Item Delivered

So here's an update. I originally requested a replaced item. These sneaky buggers changed my request without my consent! They want to now give me store credit!

They are going to give me credit and I can't stop them.

There is absolutely now way of communicating with a human at TakeAlot. I've gone through their help pages and ended up at a "Submit Query" page. After submitting, the page bombs out:

WELL… THIS IS AWKWARD!
The page or product you’re looking for has vanished into thin air… don’t you hate it when that happens?
(by ‘vanished’ we mean it’s probably moved, or no longer exists)
But since you’re here, check out some of the stuff below that may just float your boat.
We could not find any recommendations for you right now.. sorry

Try them via Facebook.. .always worked for me. Btw, if they don't stock a product anymore, they won't replace, they'll credit your account. Either way , you won't be out of your money

I'll give Facebook a try, thanks.

Just ask them to refund the credit after the fact. It is standard that they give store credit and you need to ask for a refund afterwards.

This has been an issue with them even before lockdown and black friday sales. Back in 2019 I was expecting a delivery of a cellphone(Nokia Lumia 535). To my surprise while opening the box I found a smart watch instead(Samsung Galaxy Active Smart Watch). I have to be honest, although the watch was nearly four times the value of the phone and would be a welcomed gift, I was highly irritated with the incorrect product received. Complaint was then logged as "Not what I ordered" and return was issued. Credit was offered as the cellphone was no longer in stock, but I opted for them to refund me. Entire process took ages and I never purchased from them since.

They are collecting the item tomorrow. After that, hell knows. I can't get through to them.

Just an update for future reference: I'm still waiting for a refund. It's been four days since they collected the wrong item from me to take back to their warehouse.

Didn't someone at TakeAlot notice that the box is allot smaller than it should be ...

Is the size of a Jamo box well known? The people working there, like me, probably doesn't even know what a Jamo is, let a lone the size of a Jamo box.

Well I am a TakeAlot customer sir and it seems that there is a disconnect between what the customer sees and what a TakeAlot employee sees. I bought 5 large speakers. TakeAlot delivered one small speaker. Surely one can deduce that 5 large speakers do not fit into one small box?

Either way your comment clearly describes why TakeAlot delivered me the wrong item.

Man this just happened to me. Ordered a new keyboard, they delivered some cheap ass Xbox one fong kong controller. Called them, lady insisted I email pictures so she can validate if it is indeed the incorrect item. Wtf? How would I know the difference between an Xbox controller and a keyboard.

Still no reply, hoping this is not going to be a long excessive.

Friend of mine ordered a new 500ml hot water flask.
Received 4.
Looks like the supplier shipped 4 in one box to TakeALot who promptly repackaged the 1 box with all 4 for him.
He is still contemplating if he should give the other 3 back. ;)

Hahaha
I once ordered some cheap cat food about 4 years ago and received a massive box of Huggies nappys.
Was worth more than double the catfood so I just kept the nappys for a month and then gave them to a friend at work who was expecting a new kid

Tuesday I ordered a Bosch cordless combo drill kit. Today I received a mop.
Now they're asking me for photos of the mop and the barcode. Thing is, I refused delivery. I told the delivery guy to take the mop, load it in his van and send it back. This is logged on their system. They can see this for themselves. Ffs how do these clowns function?
