Takealot is under siege

Takealot is under siege. It is losing its CEO Kim Reid and CFO Gary Altini, the Competition Commission is investigating its dominance, and it is facing increased competition.

Takealot is by far the largest ecommerce platform in South Africa, and for good reason. It offers a world-class online shopping experience with a wide range of products and excellent support.
 
Bit of a clickbaity headline for something that's not really even an article. I mean, what's the news here? You've covered both Kim Reid and the Competition Commission in previous articles. You've just made a sensationalist headline for an article that's got nothing new to add. I don't get it.
 
To be honest I shop less on Takealot these days and more on other smaller online retailers. Takealot's service isn't what it used to be - but that's inevitable with any company that grows into a big conglomerate.

Lol yeah no service is still great here. Returned a faulty SD card on a Saturday and within 3 days the new one was ready for collection.

Interestingly enough I have been shopping on Takealot more in the last few months than ever before. Always get deals and great service/delivery.

Especially Whisky where they sometimes have no idea what stuff REALLY costs...real bargains.

I will always laugh at the MyBB bloggers no matter where I go: Singapore, Sydney, Nebraska or Nelspruit.

Takealot is good and by far the best in RSA but don't come post bullshit like "they are the Amazon of South Africa". That's demeaning to South Africans. As soon as Amazon opens its online doors in RSA for real Takealot sinks.

Lol yeah no. I ordered a flash from Amazon and after 5 months of not getting it I had to cancel the order and reorder it. Amazon is not the be all and end all.

And, hopefully, that annoying takealot vouchers thread will become lost too..
