I thought for the sake of keeping the TAKEALOT vouchers thread to just that, I would create a new thread to discuss everything else related to their service since the merger with Kalahari.

It literally went from great service to so so and then to the absurd for me. The customer service was great to be fair to the lady that assisted me, and my query was eventually resolved.

But it would be great to get more peoples opninion on their online experience since the merger.

Before the merger they'd contact me if something was out of stock and give me the option of waiting, getting a refund or getting an account credit. Since the merger they cancel the order.

since the merger they have begun to spam my email with crap

i waited 13 days for my order :( after complaining after 4 days, they said they would escalate and get back to me, that was 9 days ago.

Light a match and stick it between their toes. When the match runs out, it's going to hurt. Tell them that this analogy will also apply to the "escalation time" on your order :p

Kalahari was a problem to begin with...

Takealot search and pricing are my two biggest pain points. Brick and mortar stores are a better option since the merger

I used Wootware for the first time the other day, they remind me of the old takealot when they were starting out as take2, the guys go the extra mile to keep the customer happy.

Methinks the bigger a company gets the more the focus moves away from the customer, Raymond Ackerman had this down pat as he always kept he's staff on their toes regarding customer service.

Not as much the search option, but pricing on my last order was crazy. Literally within 3 hours the item price changed 3 times. Order was sitting in my cart, but it took 24 hours to resolve and tell me what the correct price was.

That was painful, but like I said the lady at the CS team I dealt with was outstanding.

I took their 4 minute(strange) survey , not really for perhaps winning a R500 voucher, but thought I'd give feedback. The survey wasn't the greatest either.

I do hope this is not the start of bigger problems to follow, because it does feel like they are going to dictate things for alot of online customers with Kalahari out of the way.

I found their prices not competitive lately. Stopped using them and now exclusively use Amazon.

What's this I hear about the free delivery falling away?

Can only complain for the lack of vouchers from em.

+1 wootware for electronics.
Cheaper than takealot as a general rule of thumb and great support. Asked a question about which of their laptops have a certain feature, got a full answer detailing all of it. Did the same thing on Amazon and they pretty much don't care.

If the free delivery option falls away, then I'm done with them. Then I might as well do Amazon or some other online company where pricing might be more competitive than them. The free delivery option is amazing, and I think it's something they should be proud of

Their 9AM Daily Deals are only posted around or after 10AM for me every time I care to look. Not sure if it was like this before the merger, but it's a bit unprofessional.
