TAKEALOT (since the merger)

Their 9AM Daily Deals are only posted around or after 10AM for me every time I care to look. Not sure if it was like this before the merger, but it's a bit unprofessional.

mine are always out everytime around 8:50....

So far the service with them has been great with me. I get an email/sms letting me know when to expect my items and they deliver them as stated.

The other day I returned a pair of earphones that I wasn't happy with, mr delivery picked them up and they refunded my credit card when I asked them to. No hassles, no attitudes, no problems.

I also ordered a iPod case for R37 with my mobile app, free delivery for R37 is actually a loss for them, but they did it. All the way from Cape Town.

I'm very happy with TakeAlot services personally.

I don't check every day, but indeed I did check now for this very reason, and they were online already. But the other times I've checked this year they've been late.

Again, I don't check them every day.

Same here

There's less vouchers available :o
Thou they did give me a R50 voucher for their hibernation sale.

Service is good as always - Pricing is a bit off - especially with respect to their daily deals and normal pricing.

Before merger i made about 3 purchases per month. After merger have yet to make any

Hmm, daily deals are an odd one.

Sometimes at 9 there's like 3 products listed, at 10:00 there's more and then at like 5 pm they have an entirely different list of items.

I don't really care, but it is something I noticed.

One concern I had after the merger, albeit I am sure it has nothing to do with the merger.

They had an xbox one controller listed as in stock for R745 or something close to that.

When I went to pickup they said they don't have stock.

They refunded me on the website and gave me an xbox one controller that was listed at R800 on the website.
Now I have no proof on my takelot account that I bought this controller or any receipt, so if it breaks I am screwed.

Not really complaining though, just something to mention.

Had good service so far.
But as others here mention, no vouchers

Shopping elsewhere no more bothered with shopping at takealot anymore. I find their prices inflate as they please during working hours, wanted to place an order on a item after comparing prices with stores come back 10 minutes later R1500 increase just like that! I even escalated the matter with the relevant department, they didn't even bother to respond back.

MOBILE APP FREE DELIVERY is a fantastic offering which I do make use of quiet frequently orders below R50, nowadays they outsourcing everything to FedEx for delivery! Ordered something yesterday today it gets delivered via fedex, at this rate things are going I don't foresee Takealot being sustainable in future. Just the other day my account was credited with R2000 for an order I placed 7 months ago...

Daily deals are there to encourage buyers to buy! Noticed after the daily deal sometimes the same price still remains! They just clearing their warehouse to make place for new stuff..

happened to me on Tuesday... Took them 24 hours to resolve, but i didnt let it go though and emailed. facebook and twitter to get them to listen. Not ideal, but i didnt appreciate changing price 3 times within the span of 2 and a half hours

Arrghh, I hate their search functionality! (Lol - I mailed them to complain, and got a reply that they only supply quotes on Unisa books! :D)

Managed to find what I wanted though, placed the order, deilvery is estimated in 2 weeks (and these are for items that are in stock or expected in 2 -3 days). i know they probably will deliver sooner, but they're taking "under promise and over deliver" a bit too far!

On that note making use of their mobile app the categories aren't always 100 % up-to-date you've to manually search for the product on their website which I find quiet frankly irritating! Takealot website needs a serious makeover make it a little more attractive for shoppers to buy! Impression goes a long way. Example car parts are found under gardening If not mistaken they lack a full category list of site map! Noticed they did over 10 thousand orders or more yesterday.. I will always buy dog food from them, but once they start to charge for delivery will rather shop at a physical shop..

LOL! Now they putting HOT image next to the product, and they only sold 1! Hilarious marketing does pay off to brainwash consumers..

I have moved on. I never had a problem with delivery from them, but their prices are not even that good anymore.

Most of my electronics/games/movies that I bought the last 6 months have been at either Raru or Wootware. And all of those items I bought was more expensive at Takealot (even the ones supposed to be on special). Not even one of their R50 vouchers can persuade me back. Raru and Wootware also have way better customer service/support than Takealot.

I had two orders they messed up since the merger. The one was their fault, the other was mrDelivery failing spectacularly.

I have to say in both cases they did put in some effort to rectify the mistakes.

I've noticed that for some reason, their textbook prices are ridiculously high. I mean, R1000 difference compared to Loot
