I've noticed that for some reason, their textbook prices are ridiculously high. I mean, R1000 difference compared to Loot

Not for me. Lecturers can get a 'free' copy. I was just looking at prices for the textbook I prescribe.

One of my order got canceled. They were "sorry" about it.

I have used Takelot quite a bit and their service has been amazing. I have no complaints at all. In fact, I order a phone from them and got it less than 24 hours later. I was positively amazed.

Another experience I had; I ordered a book and then realised a few days later that it was an "audio" book and not a paperback. I advised them I wanted to cancel it. At first there was concern that the order might already be on the way. The came back to me to say that they had successfully cancelled it with their supplier and provided me with a full credit for the item on my account. I was positively impressed.

Apart from my latest issue, I too didn't have any complaints before. Judging from the comments its still seems like a hit and miss with them.
