Takealot Vouchers (Begging) Thread

So my SO bought me a new netbook for my birthday to replace the one that got stolen. He specifically buys the more expensive Dell Inspiron 3542 over the HP250, because it has a better CPU. Turns out they had the specs wrong on their site and both netbooks have the weaker CPU in. :/

Now what was supposed to be an amazing gift is going to turn into a big fight with TakeAlot.
 
Rectify in this case will probably mean return and refund, which my SO won't settle for, considering it's a birthday present and now we have to go through the effort of having a courier pick it up, etc. Just a very crappy thing to happen on a gift.

Will have to wait and see what TakeAlot says. I've always had good service from them, so maybe they're not full of crap.

Takealot agreed to refund me the voucher value ... Let's see if it actually happens

Well worth it. I bought prop guards from rc kings just for the added protection. Go for it.
 
I wonder whether they'll still do the voucher thing now that they don't have to anymore. Seeing that kalahari, who was their main competitor loved vouchers, is now gone, will they still feel the need for it?

They ran vouchers after having already bought kalahari.

Valid point but, let's say the vouchers that kalahari did in their last few months were already part of the marketing plan. So, to keep up with sales, takealot does the same thing because they want to keep up to rather direct shopping toward them. Just a thought haha
 
Got an email from eBucks with a R100 off R250 voucher (and a message saying that I'll get 3% back in eBucks for shopping on the Takealot site)

I received an ebucks voucher for onedayonly, I wonder whether it's random, or will we all receive a voucher for takealot as well...

I also received some voucher card with my new cheque card from FNB with coupons in it. I used that Takealot voucher when I bought my skullcandy headsets :p
