I'm sorry but if you're loyal to a profit making company that's your own fault. They are going to do what they have to so that they can make a profit. Similarly, you should do what you have to if you want to find the best prices.

Profit margins on most items are small anyway, especially cellphones, gaming and electronics. Take away the fact that they offer free delivery, you somehow cannot blame them for adding a rand here or there to increase their margins. They can easily drop their prices, by a R100 rand, but charge you R150 for delivery this still turning a R50 profit.

Fact is, most companies negotiate pricing based on quantity they take. So if Wootware or Loot take more quantity than TAKEALOT from the same supplier, its more likely they would garner a lesser cost price, thus have the ability to drop their RSP. So while it may appear they are cheaper, for them as a company it was just smarter negotions etc to gain better pricing

i have to say when i ordered a book for my SO, it went great, service was great and quick delivery. However, this has turned out the opposite for me, and i cannot believe what im witnessing tbh.

on a seperate note, do people still get these TakeAlot vouchers, and if possible have a spare one? How does one get these vouchers, is it given when you spend x amount of money etc???

They used to entice me before I bought from them. Others have gotten vouchers when ordering through Mr Delivery. Some have been given through voucher cloud but a lot of those were locked at some point for "abuse." As for using them I never felt really comfortable with Takealot since they became Takealot. Seems they only want to "take a lot" especially since the merger.
