Hey there , ive been using the +1,+2 etc accounts and just a couple of my own e-mails to buy things for family and get the promo discount , takealot popped me an e-mail listing all the accounts and saying its against policy , they cancelled my order and refunded the active order i still had, they also mentioned that they reserve the right to cancel / block any new accounts accounts made for the sole purpose of using a new promo code and they deactivated my +- 30 accounts i have made in the past.
I still don't understand why they reward new customers and not their loyal customers. I've been supporting them since take 2 days.

Well after taking down Kalahari they are getting closer to being a monopoly. They know you dont have many choices. They're focused more on growth than retention. I think they're following Amazon's lead.
Ive been supporting them since The Shopping Matrix days....I still don't understand why they reward new customers and not their loyal customers. I've been supporting them since take 2 days.

So what do you want from us?
Its because of people like you that we get less and less discounts.
Bugger off.
So TakeAlot's customer service going the route of our government, nicely down the drain.
has anyone returned an item from takealot after using a discount code ...apparently one item was returned and i never got my money back cause of using a discount code
so yeah lady says cause im returning something and i used a discount code they offset the value against the discount code
so the value of the item was R85 now i cant get that money back cause of using the discount code
I understand why they do it like that, but it doesn't make the consumer feel right. They should openly state this because then you may as well have kept the item instead of returning it
yeah i asked them to send it back to me
they say no they cant and cant credit either
i also wonder why they removed the contact centre number from the website
most posts on FB is of people asking for a number

4: Gift Vouchers & Coupons
There are two types of Coupons: a Coupon with a fixed amount of a discount, e.g. R100 off (“Fixed Coupon”), and a Coupon with a percentage discount, e.g. 10% off (“Percentage Coupon”).
Where you have used a Fixed Coupon to pay for an order, and you or Takealot later cancels your order (or part thereof) prior to delivery of the relevant product(s), or you log a return of one or more products for a credit in accordance with the Returns Policy, the value of the Fixed Coupon will be deducted off the purchase price of the cancelled or returned product(s) (as applicable), and we will credit your account for the balance, if any (or refund you if that is your preference). We will also provide you with a replacement Fixed Coupon of the same value as the original Fixed Coupon used. Takealot may in its sole discretion impose restrictions on the use of the replacement Fixed Coupon. For any subsequent cancellations or returns arising out of the same order, we will credit your account as normal with the value of the returned product (or refund you if that is your preference).
Where you have used a Percentage Coupon to pay for an order, and you or Takealot later cancels your order (or part thereof) prior to delivery of the relevant product(s), or you log a return of one or more products for a credit in accordance with the Returns Policy, the value of the discount received using the Percentage Coupon will be deducted off the purchase price of the cancelled or returned product(s) (as applicable), and we will credit your account for the balance, if any (or refund you if that is your preference). We will also provide you with a replacement Fixed Coupon of the same value as the discount received using the original Percentage Coupon. Takealot may in its sole discretion impose restrictions on the use of the replacement Fixed Coupon. For any subsequent cancellations or returns arising out of the same order, we will credit your account as normal with the value of the returned product (or refund you if that is your preference).
Wherever you have used a Gift Voucher to purchase a product that you later return for a refund in accordance with the Policy, we cannot refund you in cash for that portion of the purchase price which you paid using the Gift Voucher, but we will credit your account.
