Takealot Vouchers (Begging) Thread

My experience was that they cancel the out of stock item and send the rest.

I got a credit for the cancelled item cost - voucher.

e.g.
Item in stock - R100
Item out of stock - R500
Voucher - R100
Order Total - R500

They cancel the R500 item and refund R400. Then send the item that's in stock which you essentially pay full price for...

So you can lose out on the voucher.

This was a few months ago though, maybe things have changed.

Fortunately my out of stock item is the small item not the big so if they do a refund on that it won't matter, I used the R200 voucher, bought R400 item on sale and R150 item, R150 item is out of stock.

Will they demand more payment before shipping, the order total after discount was around R330, main item that I ordered which is in stock was R399?

Oh great, it's not Black Friday yet, and deliveries are getting delayed.

Takealot delivery times are terrible these days, used to be next day if you placed the order the previous morning, now 3-4 days seems normal, nevermind that we often have to pay for shipping.

Has anyone else noticed there is no free shipping even with the first order on new accounts?

Has anyone here been asked for a copy of their ID from takealot before? Received an email from them after ordering stating that they need a copy of my ID in color or my order will be cancelled. Have you guys experienced this before from them? I've already paid for the order as well.

In my case, they just emailed me that they could not source one of the items I ordered and that I was receiving a credit. I had used a R100 voucher.The item was R137, received a credit for R37.

So in my instance they'll only send the main item and not refund anything because the cost of the main item is still discounted by the voucher even with the cost of the other item added?

Must be that, if it was a duplicate account issue they'd just block the account and do a refund.
