yea, and as many people out there (you probably being one, because you're south african) you'd rather take it up the ass than being proactive about something

well, my ass is getting pretty much fed up with all the traffic I've been receiving from Sentech, time to apply the contention ratio and rip some dickz off!

Hell, my gran on a scooter with a memory stick is faster than Sentech's MyWireless!

How difficult would it be to get a member of parliment to ask the communications minister some questions regarding sentech's mywireless service or lack of it? Anyone got any political connections?

Bwhahaha, parliment is one super orgy ... It would be real great if we could apply some real pressure, but it's very unlikely IMHO

why not put out a well publisized online poll and let it run for 2-3 days (perhaps use ur letter is shortend form). Then u can be sure that statements etc are truly representative. If u scrw up ur credebility now, it will be over. Be careful, very careful

Hi guys

MyADSL was formed as an independent meeting place for broadband users in South Africa and a place from where initiatives can be launched etc. This has been the case from the beginning and we have seen many good developments from these forums. This is another example of such an initiative. I feel strongly that companies should pay a great deal attention to their customers and if they don’t they should be reminded that it should be done! I see a lot of new guys here trying to shoot the idea down or break up this discussion…makes me wonder.

LoneStar i can assure u that i am no orc. ive been following this forum from the begining, if only to ensure im not the only one having sh*t. What concerns me is that i want to make sure the chief orcs cannot say that this is a disgruntled few. ur letter does not quantify an approx number that it represents. a number, whatever that number is, could be used to ensure they dont come back with the 1-5% they have come back with previously

Another point, i ran a large isp in the early days when it was also 'new technology', but we battled thru and NEVER used our tools/machine as an excuse. when we scrwd up, we apologised and then went to fix it. this is what we want out of these goblins (perhaps too kind a word).

i want to make sure this has the bang it needs (mushroom cloud is probably a better description). What is 2-3 days compared against the last 6 months?

indeed i was there as well and i cant remember ever having a ordeal like this to begin with our ISP was 16 modems pluged into a specialix io8 on a linux box P1 150Mhz [also mail server] and a 486dx 4x100 as a dns server/web server ...

in the end we were running PRI's with 56k/ISDN/Chan E1 leased lines server hosting ... with pops in major centers and windhoek ...

we knew far less about the internet back then than what is taught in computer science in high school now there is no excuse for sentech to screw it up when we could get it right and not have a clue what we were doing .... shows you how much they know ...
