When a party wipe who gets the blame the poor tank or healer
sometimes both it is a fact the tank needs to keep mobs off the healer at ALL costs. And healer should try not to heal before tank has agro.

But then you get your dps classes not all but the ones that have never played a tank or a healer dont understand.
I have seen rogues, shamies and dps warior even hunters pet charge in before tank does this makes things hard for tank to get agro he has to run around trying to get agro off ALL cause the healer goes oom to heal the dpser not just that the healer has to heal alot more = more agro on him.

Its a nother thing when they pull with sheep or pull to trap that makes sense.

I did slave pens last nigth with a group that just did not understand it
you can always see whos messing with tanks agro just look at who dies first.

I was suprised people 63+ still does not understand this.

Simple rule of thumb for a warrior

spam /rw WAIT FOR 3 SUNDERS B4 DPS

Bad cc, pulling aggro from the tank (lrn2Omen), etc from dps is just as much to blame as poor tanking or subpar healing. I've played both a feral tank (up to SSC/TK) and a resto shaman (Karazahn) as well as my original hunter(MC/ZG/AQ20/BWL) and having played all 3 types of toon I know i can say this with absolute truth - if you play a DPS toon your job is to make life easier on the tanks and healers, not harder. This means you do your absolute utmost to keep mobs cc'ed, peel them off the healer if the tank cant (Blizzard gave Hunters Distracting Shot for a reason, you know), kill mobs in the right sequence (how hard can it be to click on the tank and click your assist key? Honestly.....) all the while maintaining top-notch dps.
For some reason though dps tends to 'get away' with being bad at their job. One of the great things about some raid encounters like Lootreaver, is it's fun to give dps a hard time for being slackers. They need a wakeup call now and then, in my opinion. Lazy asses.

Just touching on what is said above,

Why is it that I always get Sheep'd.... Does this happen to the guys second on aggro list ? Every Boss action ussually affects me :(

And once Tank goes down, I know I should pop Vanish quick or be next :o

Dont go in groups who dont have threat meters, like omen.

Well TBH if you have a very good tank there is no need for a Threat meter.
I have till this day not seen a Tank lose aggro once he has 5 sunders in.

The day I see that then I'll agree with you, also things like Shield Wall, Shield Bash. If the Tank knows his Job, no Damage in the world can make him lose aggro ;)

On single targets, yes, but i suspect he means multi-mob tanking. Which is usually what happens when CC isn't doing their job. It's easy to pull for eg healing aggro if a tank is trying to maintain threat on 3 targets.

On lootreaver u chase dps 2 save them?

Let the slackers die tbh... i never die on VR, then again my dps sucks cos im always running

On that topic,

There is a Pala Tank on Burning Blade called - Terenesa/Terrenesa/Terennesa/Terenessa *Spelling

The Day I see someone pull aggro when he's tanking, I'll give my WoW subscription away for free.

That dude holds aggro on so many mobs at once, DPS has a pick at which mob they want to attack; No marking required

That dude is insane at tanking

I agree, its difficult enough to get aggro for 3 mobs without some dps bolting in there without thinking. Target the tanks target and wait until he's got all the attention. If mobs are pulled off the tank (which happens depending on spells, etc used) make sure they aren't making a beeline for the healer. The tank can't be everywhere at once and if things go wrong someone has to step in with some CC, plz.

Yea a proper tanking spec pally is AMAZING with keeping multiple mobs on him... hell you just cant pull aggro off him.

Only downside is, they need to drink mana after each pull and it gets tiresome.

But yes, agreed... multiple mob tanking, pallies are imba !

Usually I fill the offtank / dps role (feral specc'd) as my son likes to MT.

I have a very simple rule: Keep tank and healer alive, other classes .... sorry for joo!

(okay, I also watch Pitbull's health occasionally ....) :)

@ Petruz - Sadly I cant disagree... hunter class for some reason, seem to lure the most unbelievable people.

Biggest problem with the class is, its so incredibly easy to play and most n00bs tend to go for the class... problem is, once you start delving into hunter dps mechanics + proper DPS theorycrafting, you realise its a damn art to manage your pet + maximise dps output properly. Shot rotations, stat scaling, pet skills, aggro transfer's etc. Then you realise oh hell, its actually a damn hard class to play to its true and proper full potential.

So often do I hear of hunters multishotting into CC'd mobs or pets on aggressive / defensive stance in instances, growl on, then I just lower my head in shame. I always say, if your pet is not on passive, then you dont have him fully under your control.

Well i have only tanked with waroir and druid love my druid tanking more
teddy can keep mobs on him and if they overpull you got that aoe agro ability to keep all mobs on you.And if played rigth bear can to some imba dps.Just caster mobs are a pain.

I have only once seen a good pala tank like in the 7 moths of wow.

Every party i have been in with a pala tank (protspec i have been asked to tank) even with arms and fury wariors.

Yea druid tanks are also imba... its only once you reach 25 man instances when you hear oh so often of the druids worst enemy - "crushing blows"

Thats where your warriors + pallies > druids.

"Hunter : Easiest Class to Play, Hardest to Master"

(by master i mean topping dps lists, not drawing aggro, able to keep your pet alive on VR, knowing how to kite, when to trap etc)

When you do learn its true potential, u realise u made the right choice, u drop the rest of the raid in dps and never look back :)

Yea there are some nasty bosses in MH that just eat our pets for breakfast.
I dont think its possible to keep your pet alive during archimonde unless he is standing next to you through the entire battle... err wait, not even that works ! Every AOE fear shoots your pet for the closest chain fire.

When I know we are doing archimonde, I take 40 x meat for my poor pet, I know he will be very upset with me due to all the deaths hehehe.

@optioncarduser - howz your dps coming along ? I had a look at that other hunters damage breakdown. Unbelievable... however, he is nerfing his own damage to boost his pets damage like that. Its the highest pet damage stats I have EVER seen. My hunters damage output looks a lot difference to his, my hunters damage is waaaaay more, but then again, my pet doesn't come anything close to his pets damage. His pet does like 50% of his total damage.
