While in SA, we're STILL waiting for anything more than the crappy C6K, which they peddle as the greatest TV to mankind, I see Newworld has the C7K. However, in typical fashion for TV sellers, they sell variants of the same models in different countries or the same models with different names but the same specs (which is infuriating).

Looking at the 85C7K, for example, you get differing specs for peak brightness. (I know there are differences for size, but these are all for the 85"). So can these TV brands try to standardise? Give us accurate specs and for the love of God, not bring 2025 models in 2026?????

The P8K is not Mini LED, so definitely not in the same class as the QM8K / C8K
 
Would you rather get a 98" TCL C6K for R35k or 85" TCL C7K for R30k? I know the C7K has the better panel with much more dimming zones, but is it that much better? Anyone here seen them in person yet?

seen some reviews using this exact comparison, and most seem to indicate the size makes a much bigger impact than the higher brightness or dimming zones of the better model... so they all seem to go for the bigger size.

Not entirely sure I agree, but at the same time, I'd rather pay more for a 98" C7K (on special for R49,999 now)
 
I'm waiting on Tafelberg to let me know when they expect to get the 65C7K. They currently only have the 85C7K available for some reason. Meanwhile I see that Hisense has a U7Q PRO that seems to compete with the TCL C7K. Have not seen this PRO model at many stores.

You can get it at Hirsch....interestingly, it is way cheaper than the non-pro model. Maybe an error?
