That's awesome, congrats. What soundbar model is it that comes with it?I pulled the trigger on the Hisense 85U7Q Pro at Hirsch for R24 999 (and a free soundbar).
Can't wait for TCL to figure out whether they will stock the C7K and C8K at major retailers. You can only get up to 75" in the C8K and then an 85" C7K is available at only one retailer. Crazy distribution system, I hope it works out for them.
But for R25k to get an 85" 165Hz panel, Mini LED with 1024 dimming zones, quantum dot and 2000 nits brightness, I don't see a better option. The only downside is Vidaa, but that's an easy change with a media box.
Thanks! That's awesome, congrats. What soundbar model is it that comes with it?

I know it's not in budget, but maybe this can help.Any decent TCL 65" for under 10k right now? Maybe the TCL P8K 65"? Ideally Android / Google TV. For a friend who just watches basic TV shows.
Andrew Robinson reviews TCL's QM9K, a flagship 4K mini-LED TV boasting 6,000+ local dimming zones. The in-depth analysis explores picture quality, brightness, and motion performance using various content. Comparisons to competitors like Hisense and Sony are also included.

So how has it performed so far?I went to the Digital Experience store in Fourways the other week but unfortunately they didn't have any C7K or C8K display units. They did have a 98" C6K, and I was impressed with the quality, I ended up going with it.
Sorry for the late reply. So how has it performed so far?
Do you find the limited number of dimming zones diminishes the quality? Any blooming or halos?
What TV were you coming from before you bought this?
The 98C6K seems like amazing value, not sure if the extra 20k for the C7K is worth it. (Well, my brain says it is, but my wallet doesn't agree - hopefully you can confirm that my brain is wrong!)
Sorry for the late reply.
No, for me the panel quality is superb as is. Blooming is hardly an issue, and that's coming from someone who is quick to notice many issues. Black levels are excellent. The only 'issue' I did notice is some slight screen flickering during subtitle movement, I think caused by the local dimming. I didn't adjust any of the default settings yet, so still need to play around with that.
I actually did most of my recent TV series/movie watching on my laptop, which has a 14" 2K OLED display.
So far I just played some God of War Ragnarok (PS5 Pro), watched a 4K HDR copy of Avatar and a couple of YT videos. Everything looked amazing on this TV.
A few little niggles: the provided remote feels quite cheap and doesn't have a backlight. The Google TV UI is not very fast, but at least not too slow. I might get an Apple TV if they finally release a new version soon.
Overall, really pleased with my purchase so far. I think it's unbeatable value for money.
Finishing studio setup had to be held off because I couldn’t wait to unbox and get a first look at the TCL X11L. Thanks to TCL for sponsoring a video I was super stoked to do anyway!
The big takeaway here? The TCL X11L passes the post-CES hypefest with – should I say it? – flying colors.
Yeah, I’ll be using that one again. Enjoy, and buckle up, because the review isn’t far behind.
The Final Boss of TVs?

I've kept you waiting long enough. Life, the holidays, CES, a huge move and now, finally, I pit the TCL Z100 against the Hisense Saturn and sprinkle a little Sony Bravia Theater Quad in there to spice things up. Because, frankly, they needed a little spicing. You'll see what I mean ... just wait for it.
