Ted Lasso

209 was vastly different from all other epi's. Pretty much 95% Beard focused. Different direction & approach, tons of character development.

Is season 2 worth watching or is it going to ruin it?

Did not think this would be good at all Got half of season one (5 episodes) and thought if it doesn't interest me by then it's not worth the continuing of watching, in the end I'm hooked, this is a brilliant show, had the same thoughts about Intelligence and that too was brilliantly done.

Hopefully this might go on for at least one more season.

Will go on for at least one more season.

In October 2020, the series was renewed for a third season.

Read somewhere that this and the Xmas episode was added to the original 10 episodes.

I loved season 1. Hated season 2.

S1: Ted is positive with great personality. Has some command over the team and you want to see the underdogs go somewhere.
S2: Ted chokes at every opportunity possible and requires everyone else to do everything you would expect him to take control of. Should be fired as the manager as he couldn't lead anything. I'm sympathetic to his mental troubles, but he couldn't even motivate his captain(needed Roy), Couldn't sit down Sam and explain that Jamie needs a father figure and Ted is going to help him, needed Nate to take control of on pitch management.
Only endearing thing is Ted's personality, but the reasons you would want him manage your team in S1 was completely gone in S2.
As brief as I can keep it. I have loads to say but will leave it at this.

Apple TV+ hit series ‘Ted Lasso’ signs licensing deal with English Premier League

Ahead of production on season three, the Apple TV+ hit series Ted Lasso has signed a major licensing deal with the Premier League, according to The Athletic.

The deal will allow the show to use official Premier League materials including archive footage, club logos, and the league’s trophy as part of the episodes. The deal is said to be worth about £500,000.

This should mean that season three of the series will feature references to real Premier League teams and players.

Apparently, the producers had been pursuing this deal in the past but the League management was apprehensive.

However, in light of the show’s audience success and recent award wins, the League has come around to the idea. Some of the Premier League executives are also said to be enjoying the series, which always helps get a deal struck.

Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple discuss ‘Ted Lasso’, their characters, and more

On a pretty regular basis, Apple TV+ gives us a behind the scenes look at the various productions the streaming service has on tap. That includes plenty of interviews with the cast and crew of the hit comedy series Ted Lasso. But this one, featuring Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple, is a bit different.

For those who might not be aware, Variety has a running series they publish on their site and on YouTube called “Actors on Actors.” It sets two actors, from the likes of Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Good Time) and Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther, Get Out) and many others, in a face-to-face conversation about their careers, history, and more. It’s a nice way to get to know each person, especially as it relates to their work.

In today’s video, which Apple TV+ published to its official YouTube channel, it’s a similar setup. It’s called “A conversation with Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple,” and, indeed, that’s what it boils down to. Unfortunately, the only bad part is that it’s not all that long measuring in at just under ten minutes. You can check it out below.

Milk Bar teams up with Apple TV+ to sell Ted Lasso biscuits today only

Iconic dessert company Milk Bar has teamed up with both Apple TV+ and Postmates to sell the actual biscuits from Ted Lasso. The biscuits were available in New York City earlier today before selling out. The biscuits are available now in Los Angeles. The collaboration is part of the celebration of the season two finale of the show that’s now available to stream.

Milk Bar has recreated the biscuits that Ted frequently gives to Rebecca throughout the show. The biscuits come in boxes of three. The company has even made the little pink boxes like the ones used in the show.

The biscuits are available for free (with service fees) to anyone who orders them from a flagship Milk Bar location in the two cities. Postmates is also holding sweepstakes to give away some Ted Lasso swag. You can head over to Postmate’s Instagram story to enter.
