ps - I'm the new guy here! hello all :p

Welcome to MyADSL, SlowHands. :)

all my business comunications are now shut off, till the 1st of the month...BIG "ÂŁ%ÂŁ OFF to u know who, thanks

All South Africa needs is just someone reasonable and who has power working for Telkom. Sigh.

Yes, but South African's dont use thier brains and refuse to pay! If they did that, then your Telco would hae to drop it's prises!!

To put it eloquintly, we are Telkom's bitches, and they are our pimp.. we could turn the tables though.

typical Telkom. reduce prices where there is no competition so as to be seen as the good guys. only cut prices on the ADSL access portion
BUT
do not reduce the prices where there is real competion in the market. on the ISP portion.
Come on telkom. start thinking about the rest of the ISP's out there and not just of yourselves.

ok... it's June.. now where's this 1mb ADSL telkom were promising??

Im sure they couldnt think of a low enough cap with a high enough pricetag yet. The creative chickens still cooping up the ideas.

I was told by a Technician that it would only be available some time around August.

I think they're bussy making arrangements with all the major banks to structure a deal to the lines of: Apply for 1MB ADSL line, and get an unlimited overdraft facility at a bank of your convenience. The overdraft will assist you in paying for the bandwidth used on your ADSL line, in the unforseen event that you should decide to make use of the ADSL line, and not just rent the line for appearances. This exiting new service only available to clients signing a lifetime contract and indemnity clause.

100k downloads ..... that will be nice :)

Why does that seem so low? 1MB only 100K.... I use to got 350-450K?
I thought that a 1MB line would be MUCH faster
