Just curious. If a telkom 4mbs dsl subscriber uses up their 9gb, can you buy another 9gb package for the month or do you have to buy 1gb at a time. I'm looking on their website and can't find any gb packages. I'm basically looking for an easy setup for my parents where I can top up for them by just buying a package if theirs runs out. We live far apart and I can't go and switch router logins for other isps everynow and then. They're on a contract with Telkom for at least another year. Any links will be helpful.

These extrats from the daily usage mail telkom sends out every day:

Grand Total Cap (A + B + C + D) - 9.00GB

F. Uploaded - 445.67MB or [0.43GB]
G. Combined Total Used (E + F) - 4.26GB
Remaining Default Package Data - 4.73GB
Default Package Data Percentage Used - 47.38%
H. Billable Out of Bundle Data (G - D - A - C) - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]

Additional Requested Data Percentage Used - 0.00%
Status - Not Capped

and

Should your current allocated data not be satisfactory, you can upgrade your package by calling 10215 (option 1) or alternatively TopUp your current username with additional Blended data at https://secure.telkomsa.net/topup

On the website where you log on, you can purchase from 1 to 10 GB at a time. I'll imagine it'll expire at the end of the month it was purchased in.

EDIT: RTFS to myself: "Please Note: any Unused bandwidth will not be transfered to the following month."

yes there is 2 ways of doing it .The first option is like ab-user say and then the new option is you apply and tell them with how many Gigs you want to go over your 9 gigs and they auto bill you with only the amount you used. The first option works out to about R69 per Gig and the second one to I think R48 per Gig Will see if I still have that e-mail from telkom

I am not sure.last month I went 827 Mb over my 9 g and see on my telkom account I was charged R34.72
