Telkom additional line rental

I recently moved to Bloemfontein and could only find a granny flat. The main house already has a Telkom line installed and the exchange does supports ADSL. My question is what will Telkom do if I wanted to install a line in my apartment ? Will they simply extend the already existing line or will they completely install a new line?

I won't be using the Telephone itself but only ADSL for work. My ISP will be Air BroadBand and I already have a package chosen (Uncapped ADSL 1 mbps for R 325[data+line]). I also want to know what the costs will be for everything, like the line rental, the ADSL line rental and of course the installation fee if they want to install a completely new line.

They will install a new line. get one of those combo packages from telkom which has free installation.

Thank you ponder. I talked to Telkom last Saturday and the lady was pretty helpful, she explained everything including what my price will be at the end of the month (She also showed me to work out my adsl line rental. but I forgot how she did it). In two weeks I will have an active adsl line ready. Thanks again ponder!
