Telkom confirmed the dates when 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 4Mbps ADSL users will be upgraded to 2Mbps, 4Mbps and 10Mbps respectively

Notice the amount of time to upgrade the respective line speeds from 1024Kbps to 2048Kbps which I believe is a fair indicator that entry level ADSL forms the majority of Telkom's client base.

4 to 10 Mbps = 8 days
2 to 4 Mbps = 6 days
1 to 2 Mbps = 2 months

Option of smaller bill I believe for exchanges where 10Mbps is not available.

No i tried that already they will leave your order pending until 1Mbps is bumped up to 2Mbps which is in jan Telkom advised me this morning i should wait until end of the month then move from 1Mbps to 4Mbps
