Hi guys

The area in which I live had a Telkom service outage last week, which was resolved for all of the other residents in my area, except for me... I have not had any internet access now for six days. I have reset my router in the hopes that this might do something, and I put in my details again. Still, all I am getting is a flashing internet light on my router.

Will somebody please check for me if the details are correct? I sometimes tend to consider myself more savvy than I actually am.

Kindly,

Is your router able to connect to your exchange?
There is usually another light on a router that would indicate DSL connectivity.

I have three lights on: 1) Power 2) Wifi 3) DSL (?) - flickering.4.jpg

I guess it would be the one with the arrow. By the looks of it, it is connected. :)
Make sure your username and password is correct.

Oops, the light should not be flickering. It must be constantly lid. :o

Ja, I checked and double-checked. Now Telkom says they need to send out a technician? How can everyone else's connectivity be back up except mine?

Oh, well...

When you did a reset did you do a factory reset?

the username is not generally so short...the end LED will light up when the username and password are correct...

Resetting the router factory to defaults will default to the guest account, if you get your sync and internet the you know it's your credentials that's not right, if not then you need a tech.

I had the same issue after an outage in our area. The issue was fixed almost 2 month later, mine was diagnosed as a faulty port.
