Morning guys.

Is it possible to request from Telkom to bump my speed from 4MB to 6MB and will their be extra charges to my account?

I looked on their website, but they only say we can use 1MB which is utterly impossible because I'm on 4MB as well as neighbours.

Thanks in advance.

4 meg to 10 meg is the same price and only if your exchange/dslam/UMC box and line stats supports that speed

Post your line stats from your router i.e Attenuation and SNR Margin

What about those numbers?

Mode: ADSL_G.dmt
Traffic Type: ATM
Status: Up
Link Power State: L0

Downstream Upstream
Line Coding(Trellis): On On
SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 186 120
Attenuation (0.1 dB): 130 75
Output Power (0.1 dBm): 133 28
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 12000 1256

What's your current line speed?

Your SNR margins are quite low considering your attenuation is also very low

Here's my stats for my line that's on 10Mb:
Connection Speed 10015 kbps 963 kbps
Line Attenuation 16.5 db 10.5 db
Noise Margin 19.0 db 5.8 db

My SNR margin was about 30db when I was on 4Mb
