Telkom bumps up ADSL caps

What happens to the 1GB subscribers ? they forgotten ? but sure they love our money...

why do some of you guys say "ill be happy with....." and mention something slightly better that what you have.
you are selling yourselves (and us) short.
you may claim that youre being realistic but in return for the paltry offerings that would satisfy you, are you also happy paying the ridiculous prices we are charged?

I'd guess that those accounts are the basic default cap for the far more populous but far less tech-savvy users who don't know any better and Telkom feels that it would probably adversely affect the over-all income and skew cross-subsidisation if they killed this golden goose. You'd think they could at least have given these poor people a reprieve and even dropped the price a little, but they chose not to. You could perhaps speculate that these poor people are being fleeced so that Telkom internet could add more bandwidth at no cost to the other brackets. The contributions of the many subsidise the excesses of the few, as it were.

Usually 1 August these prices increase or decrease

In line with international standards we are behind the rest of the world. Telkom aligning their prices to be more competitive is like saying: "Justin aka Kilos you will not have your house free of your mother in law - she is here to stay." like Telkom and its prices = Dragon in Law in my house
