Telkom capitalizing on MyADSL BB Testing?

Really pathetic if you ask me, thanks uncle rpm ;)
 
LoL! Maybe they are bummed as i was testing my downloading on the guest account, found some old Linux iso's on the FTP and though what the hell, lets see my speeds..
 
Seems like they removed the FTP test as well ftp://196.43.1.13/test.file

Either:
1) Something is stuffed with their speed tests
2) They knowingly did it on purpose

At least there's still iBurst/Sentech as a backup for local speed tests.
 
bah, phone into telkom adsl helpdesk & say your line is slow.. they will want to test it.. should be fun :D

Just phoned and the guys says. yes sir im seeing the very same thing - no one has informed us of this change. Very strange.

Me. Can You inform yr web dev team.

telkom guy. yes sir im definitely sending this on to the IT guys, but they finish work at 5pm so it will have to wait till monday.
 
BTW - ftp stills work fine - and they have some old linux iso's up there
 
k whats happening is that the speedtest pages are missing and the error404 is redirecting to the page u see now -with touch tommorow on the top

I think what we are seeing is the results of sloppy "its friday" web dev work.
