Is this in fact a genuine unsolicited FREEBIE offer from Telkom, or is it or just yet another clickbait email by scamsters to glean personal details for nefarious purposes?

:whistling:

Appears to be legit, going to the Telkom website, but one thing is fishy to me:

It is strange, that they would ask loyal Telkom customers for information they should already have, through a publicly available link.. They can at least have loyal customers log on to the portal and indicate interest through there..

My sentiments exactly - I would rather err on the side of caution for now - not bothering to go to a Telkom Store - wait for 3 hours in a queue - and only then find out if it's actually legit or not...!

As you said - they have all my details & I could accept their magnanimous offer through the MyTelkom portal if I wanted to avail myself of their freebie...

If this were a scam, I'd probably fall for it since it's on the actual Telkom Website, and the email is very well laid out.

Honestly, I'm slightly tempted to fill in my info to see what happens.
