The 150MB isn't "all-network data". It cant be used on the Telkom network, one has to switch to roaming on MTN before it would be used so why call it "all-network data"? If I am missing something please enlighten me.

You will have to enable data roaming on your mobile. After that its pretty much seamless. It will automatically roam between Telkom and MTN .

It will roam only when out of Telkom coverage. Still why call it "all-network data" when it can only be used on MTN?

Edit: Or would it automatically be used on Telkom once the Telkom only data is up?

It does, just read what you've written slowly.

Yes I know it makes sense when saying it but does not make sense from Telkom Mobiles perspective. Why would they allocate more data that can be used on roaming than on their own network?

I know that All network data can be used on both networks but its still more expensive than TM only data so why they included is I don't know but it is a decent deal now since they included it.

Yes all network mean on both networks. So if you have very good Telkom coverage you all network bundle will be used once the TM only data is used up.

Ok but it expires at the end of the month where the "Recurring Telkom Mobile Data" carries over to the end of the following month so some people will never get to use it.

Yeah that is very interesting. Which mean you would have to force your phone to roam to use that data then.

I think they should have a switch button on http://onnet.8ta.com which would allow you to toggle the data bundle usage when in Telkom Mobile coverage. That would solve this problem.

Correct, I do this currently.

Can anyone confirm if the 1GB "National Network Data" carries over to the next month?

Its sad that Telkom Mobile dont offer the S5 on their Smartplan 250 Package to individuals. That package they only offer to businesss customers R600 a month, and for that extra R150 you get 150 more minutes on PER SECOND billing and 500MB of all network (MTN) data plus the 2GB promotion.

Telkom please stop with per minute contracts. Per second is the way to go...............
