Telkom downgrade

Sometime in the last day or so Telkom have downgraded my line from 10mbps to 8mbps.
A pretty snake-like move and I'm more than pissed off.

Is there a reason for this?
Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

The 8mbps is because I can only sync on G.Dmt (unlike 2 days ago)

The 8mbps is because I can't sync on G.Dmt

Telkom limits G.Dmt to 6Mb/s in SA.

Sorry I meant to say I can ONLY sync on G.Dmt but I have always been on ADSL2+ until yesterday.

Anyway. Phoned them and they sorted it.
I had no idea what the problem was and they didn't either.
