Can anyone assist me.
I just went to telkom. They have esim but told me because I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and not an iPhone 11 I can’t get it. How does that even make sense? And that was told to me after they did a sim swap to a normal SIM card again and there was nothing wrong with me sim. Is it only iPhone XS, 11, and 12 that are supported and not iPhone XS Max, 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max?
This makes not sense.

Sounds like they have no idea what they are talking about. I got my eSim over the weekend with no issues.

You need to add a new data plan and then scan the QR code.

Just an update:
So I called telkom and chatted with them and then got better information. I was then told (and I told the Telkom store this as well) that all iphone 11 series which is iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro max are supported.
so I went back told them that and they just said ok but very confused. They gave me the esim and I’m connected.

I went yesterday got an E-Sim took the Guy 5 minutes and I walked out. Registered instantly and, I can confirm voice and sms works.

Telkom shop in Mall@Reds, at least knows what the process is, most painless experience I have ever had with Telkom.

Finally get an eSIM, and trying to get it running on the Galaxy Z Flip 3.... AND GUESS WHAT!!!! Sasmung and Vodascum, decide to BLOCK the eSIM!!!! I see the IMEI for the eSIM, but greyed out. Can't add data plan... What a waste of time and effort..... Also not working on my GALAXY NOTE 20 5G version....

For me it was instantly. You will have no signal on that sim. Be sure to take out the sim before you activate the esim and be on wifi.

Calls n sms work for both outgoing and incoming? - Yes, can only have one phone call at a time, I think my physical sim the signal drops when I'm on a call with the Telkom E-Sim

If you have both eSim and physical online there is extra battery consumption.

I had the same issue, had to go in store to do a sim swap. Take your ID with you. They wont do it with your drivers license. Took about 10 min.
