Hi guys. im the real proof, i phoned Telkom for 6 times a day for 3 days and asked them if they can upgrade my 384 line to the 4mb line. i phoned 10219 , 10215 , 0800 375 375. all of them said my area DOES NOT support 4mb. So i insisted that i want to apply for the 4mb line and they must send out a technician to my exchange around the corner to test my line and to see what speed my line can sync.
Only bad thing is i waited 2 weeks for them to send out a tech. phoned them every single day had it escalated but nothing so i spoke to a very lovely lady(cant remember name), so she send my request to highest department and her manager. 1 day later 14 july im connected to 4mb.
Here is my speed test @ openweb

My question is why do they tell you that you can't when in fact you can. This is very bad service from them.
Cheers
I'm going to try get as many ppl on 4M as possible. Spread the word, they're lying to you, all in the name of making profits!!
Because, as previously mentioned, their systems are outdated and tells them that your line can only go until 384. You need to request a sync test to find out for sure what your line is capable of.
