Telkom increases line rental prices

I thought that they were going to get rid of the line rental for ADSL etc?

Jirre this is R10 on top of a charge that should not need to be over R100pm. Perhaps this a strategy to get customers to sign up for calling plans or DSL packages that include it.
 
What a joke and the "promise" was to do away with the line fee. Just shows you can't trust a cadre.
 
Hopefully price stays the same for people that are on 799 deal :(

Because the 799 deal includes analog line rental.

In all seriousness I can't believe they are still increasing this. There would be a small amount of people willing to pay R200 for a phone line if naked DSL existed.
 
Telkom can go to hell! I logged the fourth call since December for the same issue today....

As soon as fibre is in my area (ETA later this year) you can take your analogue line and shove it where the sun don't shine.
 
Goodbye Telkom, it was nice knowing you, but im migrating my line today. I know its R10 on voice line, but im just going to move my DSL, and save money with another ISP. Feck man, 1st you take away the integrated data deal and give us an inferior product, and now this.

FFS, you should be completely removing the voice portion you knobs
 
Fcken Telkom. Went this morning to get my line activated, and was told they do this for free. The whole application process took about 45 minutes, after which the consultant told me they would require a R700 deposit....TSEK
