Telkom increases pay offer

While approximately 38% of Telkom’s bargaining unit staff will receive their guaranteed salary increases of 10.5%, effective from 1 April 2008, members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and South African Communications Union (SACU) will officially embark on industrial action tomorrow.

And guess who is going to pay for this increase? Do you think maybe Ruben and the gang are going to are going to take a slightly less ridiculous bonus?

I hope Telkom dies a slow, miserable death!

I wonder if Telkom realises that instead of increasing prices, lowering prices drastically will allow more people to but their service hence make more money. But no.

Wonder what school did their executives go to...

...because any savvy businessman realizes the way to get rid of excess stock is to lower the prices and the people will buy it in bulk...

I have stopped long ago banging my head against this particular wall as they just doesn't seem to get it....
