Telkom Integrated Data Sim

I got around 30mbps on the download and about 7mbps on the up. Most times its around 25mbps. I mainly use it to stream which gives me no problems.

But i spoke to somebody at Telkom, and he reckons that he cant see Telkom moving away from the Integrated sim, as they have issued and still issuing alot of them. Basically said that this is a potential win situation, as they keep the customer from migrating their line away from Telkom, and also seeing a bit more people sign up. He ended off by saying that this fall back option allows the customer to be connected and happy, and gives them time to get the issue sorted if a line goes down or there are problems.

Personally i reckon Telkom would be foolish to remove the Integrated sim.

Awesome. Hope Telkom issues a statement to dispel any uncertainty. :)

You won't be able to use other service providers data on your integrated sim or Telkom's unlimited deals. As far as I know they only work on Telkom Mobile networks. :)

Was referring to ADSL Afrihost account.


On another note, did any one else notice that the integrated data is still working? I didn't get to cancel my telkom account but signed up for the 799 deal end of last month, just waiting for it, but surprisingly the 50+50gig promo turned into 100gig softcap and Integrated data still works.

Maybe I should cancel my afrihost and stick with the telkom ADSL data. That way I can have 2 4G accounts, one that's uncapped and one with 100gigs that can be used as adsl.

I'm gonna get a sim today, just wanted to know whether this sim works with night surfer ? (unlimited 12-7)
 
If you on Softcap then yes then it's unlimited. For uncap users I am not too sure
 
Has anyone had the issue of requesting multiple sims but only 1 of those activate? Looking to know if anyone else has an issue with the the other sims activation where even Telkom does not know why it occurs.
 
Is this promotion still running? According Telkom call centre agent, the promotion ended end of July, but I can go in-store for the terms and conditions as well as get the sim :confused:

Good luck, I hope you get it. It's really cool, I only have 40 gig account .. but it's still cool if you need to download something quick.

mine is definately still working, and as i said earlier post, that Telkom would be foolish to remove this. Its pure innovation on their part, as no other ISP has anything like this. in my opinion, to hold onto users migrating away from Telkom or sign up new users, this is one smart way
 
I've only got 20 gigs but I use it for my second phone in the car to stream google music. I also use it in my tablet, with a power failure and too lazy to go connect the inverter I used it to watch youtube.

yeah, even 20 gig for the price is awesome. Think Lara has like 100gig, spoilt pony :p
