Telkom integrated data wallet launched

So I got a SMS from Telkom offering me the integrated data wallet option on my Telkom adsl softcap solution....

I made contact with them via email so will let you guys know if I get it set up. Super excited about it actually wanted the product from the time it got leaked.

come on #cavedog- a month has gone - share the christmas cheer

Yeah in the time I actually cancelled my softcap account. They sent me 2 sms and I replied to those sms and emailed the email address provided but nothing. No response at all. After 2 weeks I just gave up because they were obviously not going to reply.

So with that attitude I cancelled everything I had with Telkom except the adsl line and now using Afrihost.

I'm actually wondering how many sims can be linked to the ADSL account/data wallet? My 10x10 contract expires in Feb and would like it if I can use this data wallet for the two tablets... Also considering getting a dual sim phone with one of these simcards.

Interesting developments here and i wonder what will happen to you now #cavedog :D.

Hope we get an sms .

So my internet has been down for 10 days. The first time I logged the report, they claimed they had fixed the issue. And obviously since its holiday time I don't think it will be attended to until the new year. Do I have to request Telkom to give me the integrated wallet or will they just offer it?

Throw a coin in the fountain and wish upon a star as far as I'm concerned. They already selected a pool of users for this and it was an invite-only initiative. I haven't spoken to one sales agent or product manager at Telkom who even knew what "Integrated Data Wallet" is. When I sent them the link to the mybb articles, they said they'd get back to me. Yeah I don't think I need to type further. Good luck mate

Cool and welcome!

What DSL package did you sign up for initially and what were your circumstances for them to give you this offering? Lack of DSL infrastructure or high copper theft area?
I have the do Premium bundle. My internet worked perfectly but at the time I reported that my line didn’t sync on ADSL2+ which limited my line to 8Mbps. Telkom technicians changed the settings at the exchange and I’ve been happy ever since.
There are no cable thefts or lack of infrastructure where I live.

The D-Link router I received from Telkom works very well and I’m able to use it wherever I go. :)

Waiting on my activation now.

Quick Q. I'm correct in saying this Afrihost MiFi devices are not network locked?

I can pop this Telkom SiM there & change the APN & I'm good to go?

Any more guys been connected this way?

I'm thinking of ordering a softcap bundle of say 10 or 20 gig just for this. At the moment I have uncapped and the system tells me I'm unable to add softcap DSL

I got the invite a couple of days ago. Will see if they are in fact going to send me the sim etc.

Just fill you guys my integrated data wallet works the bomb. Wife was in Durbz for the weekend; took the old MiFi with the Telkom sim & was connected.

Normal and mini.. not micro. So for normal devices, you should be covered.

Like Shumi said... you need to be lucky to be selected. I think they look at places where they know they are not going to upgrade soon.
