Can't be that I'm on uncapped.

Seems to have improved a little bit, not good enough for gaming but browsing is a little bit better.

Internet looks pretty dead to me, on Telkom 1mbit uncapped here.

NZBs still go at 100% tho (got about 7GB today according to sabNZBd+ which isn't bad for uncached)

Exactly the same as me then. HTTP is dead on international sites, but Skype, Facebook and Google ZA works fine. NNTP may work, but I can't get any download links anyway. Will just have to see what it looks like tomorrow. Going to switch accounts, switch back and see how that runs.

I only use about 20% of my cap every month so that is not the problem. Seems to be particularly bad with any google related sites, such as google-finance. Cannot connect to any Oz sites. They have been clever though - have kept all the banking websites working fine - probably don't want the big stink of people unable to do internet banking. Many non banking local sites are also painfully slow. Tried phoning Telkom Internet on 10210 - held on for 1 hour and then gave up.

i am also experiencing a problem
My Telkom account is very slow
could not access facebook with IE-tried Chrome-same story-then tried deleting cache- it worked for a while then went bonkers again.
all webpages are loading very slowly

i wonder if theres a sensible explanation for this?
does anyone have feedback from telkom?(i know its hightly unlikely-but sometimes they do explain)

It always stops on the fourth hop. Looks like someone stuffed up a gateway somewhere, as the tracert does a round-trip back to telkom-ipnet. DNS servers I'm getting are 196.43.38.190 and 196.43.42.190. Anyone else got different? I'm going to try a few ones to see what works. I'm normally used to seeing 196.25.1.11 and 196.43.1.11.

Does anyone know if SAT3 and SAIX are separate lines? Has Eassy come back online yet?

FB fine until an hour ago, now getting nada on that either, only patchy international traffic on some sites...
on tracert, everything after telkom-ipnet.co.za [196.43.35.860 is timed out

I'm also getting a warning from Firefox when trying to view my bandwidth usage - it says its blocked 2347 pop-up windows?

Looks like something at their HQ causing it. Our Local 4 and International 5 are the same, so its the DNS server/router just before the gateway that's doing it. Going to switch DNS servers now now.

Btw this is my routers DNS servers

Primary DNS Server: 196.43.50.190
Secondary DNS Server: 196.43.53.190

Telkom's 196.25.1.11 and 196.43.1.11 servers aren't working either. Open DNS servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 aren't working either. Still has a timeout on hop 4, and still can't ping any international servers.

And Firefox telling me about those blocked pop-ups scares me. Telkom could have been compromised as well.
