Telkom Internet APN changes implemented

This unannounced change by Telkom made Hetzner's KonsoleH unusable for me. (constant logouts)
Changing the APN on the LTE router to unrestricted resolved the issue.

On the Huawei B618 LTE router it is under:
Settings - Dial-up - Profile Management. Create new profile with APN as unrestricted. (username/password blank)

Hi,

Would this effect Telkom's integrated data sims as well. I have not been able to connect or use mine since 1st of may. I keep on getting a message that 1 have reached my mobile date cap, even though I have a 100Gig integrated data left.
Even Telekoms own technicians don't know what the problem is

I am using the "unrestricted" APN
The speed test difference between that and the original one is stark. However there is a latency penalty and it seems all traffic is being routed via Durban on the unrestricted APN.

Normal APN is 15mS ping to local host.
Unrestricted APN is double that plus.

However, for streaming like a boss, the unrestricted APN is king.

I have not changed any apn settings and the integrated data sim still works fine on my pc.
