I don't know if I said there would be an improvement today. I said we had made progress.

We are busy on-boarding traffic from a CDN in the Durban and Cape Town sites at present, but you won't see the benefit until tomorrow (we need to push some user-impacting changes to finish, so that will have to wait for after midnight or before 06h00. We're doing all we can just to not make things worse, seems like we have mostly succeeded.

I've been complaining on twitter this entire week and nothing has been done. I had crystal web and they were brilliant. Has anyone else had issues streaming in he Sandton area?

Ok. I may have misread. Not too great tonight, but I'll try again from tomorrow and see if it's any better.

Why did you move off CW ?

I used to use sunnyusenet.com (now using the free news server from CW) and what a difference. Set up your nzb client to use SSL and you will get line speed all day. I didn't mind having to pay for an additional service as sunny is less than 30 rand a month. Chump change when compared to the benefit of being able to get my nzb down at 420kB/s at anytime.

You were right! I changed over to another news server and bam full line speed.
Last night I downloaded 4.5GB i.e more than double than what I used to get.

I'm glad it worked out for you Bash. Which news server did you go with?
