Wow that exchange is congested so badly. If its not the exchange you or something is downloading or uploading something @ max speed.

At month end my contract expires... if this is not sorted then I WILL be moving.

Where will you go? The grass is not always greener on the other side. I think the time for uncapped to step backwards and for high capped accounts to move forward.

Exactly, and I have been advocating high capped accounts since forever...

If I move it will be back to a capped account. ISP still to be determined.

If ITNT can sustain R1 per gig, then it's a very attractive option indeed and one I will really consider. 150GB @ R150 will suit me just fine. Bought 10GB from them yesterday to test the waters and went through it fairly quickly during the day today. Bought another 50GB earlier for the heck of it. Switched back to Telkom just now. Worked well for about 5 minutes and then back to crawling. Switched over to the ITNT account and it's consistently performing well. Gonna stay on it for a couple of days to see how it fairs. I retracted my cancellation a week ago with TI because it looked like they had fixed up. Starting to think that was a mistake now.

MickeyD, why not just grab a 10GB cap from ITNT in the meantime ? It'll cost you 10 bucks, but at least you might be able to use the Internet in the meantime.

Tracert to BBC.CO.UK

Nope, its not the exchange, its TI, I am convinced that it has to be TI.

Thought it was my modem and did a reset. ADSL synced, but it seems that it isn't logging onto TI account. The status says: connecting for the past 15 minutes

All I know is that if the TI uncapped tide has turned for MickeyD, then we all better run for our lives.
Uncapped apocalypse is here...
MickeyD NEVER has TI problems ;)
