Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Seriously guys AntiGanda might be irritating sometimes but he is right at times. How is blocking p2p completely during daytime just accepted. Thing is this also affects me gaming during the day since games like FIFA use p2p for matchmaking and most times it's pretty crappy.

Most basic/home uncapped accounts are shaped/blocked during the day, so whilst its really crap, its just the general state of uncapped internet in South Africa.

Yet not in Durban with the same ISP, which is the point.

You guys sit smug in another province unaffected (probably don't even have uncapped even) and then start trolling us for complaining.

When did i troll you for complaining? Just because Durban is currently getting good torrent speeds, it doesn't mean that's the norm or that's how its supposed to be. Im guessing they give you torrent speeds in the day if they can but its not their obligation to do so.

I for one would refrain from pm-ing him for this very reason. The last thing we want to do is chase him away :) He's the only channel we have for the inside info on what's going on inside the TI beast.

No PPP connection, just died - oh well , Afrihost as backup again ....

Only efup is I was busy with an online credit card transaction ... - ho hum ...

No Internet tonight, switch to my vox account and working like a dream. Back to Telkom and nothing...

I think they retrenched so many people there is no expertise left. Either that or they don't care because they aren't accountable.
 
Browsing mybb slow after switching to Ti few minutes ago. Luckily i start my treadmill workout [on day#3] to rid me of slowness [only require streaming music] :D.
 
I've been having bad speeds for a few days now. Looks like there's a problem in my area. Luckily, my brother and dad live in the same vicinity, so troubleshooting is a little easier nowadays. My bro is with Web Africa and my dad is with TI. Both of them have the same problems with their connection as I do. Even switching accounts yield the same results. I noticed it started after the rain from last week. Wet cables, maybe ?
