Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Dear Telkom, can I please have dial-up back. It would be faster than this crap. My game actually starts running in reverse, uninstalls itself and a few hours later my i7 has become a Pentium 1.

KZN is down to proof of concept internet. One can pretend it's there but if you use it it ceases to exist.

Just got FUP exceeded message popup & speed dropped to .36 on 4Mbps line.

powercycled router and speed is back to normal, and checking on Telkom usage screen shows 38 GB usage.

All a bit weird!
 
I need some advise guy, I have a Technician at my place yesterday who blamed my ISP (Vox and CW) for the inconsistent line stats. The SNR is bottoming out resulting in no throughput, router losing sync or the router syncing to speeds below the 4mb line speed. I need had these issues before the line has always been very stable. The SNR is now dropping to 0.1db downstream. The upstream stats are all consistent and as they should be.

When you get the fault reference PM TelkomZA with your landline number and the fault ref and include the detail you gave here - ISPs being responsible for poor SNR values is BS.

Thanks for confirming that I am not a completely clueless. That tech was more concerned with 20 clients he need to go see and trying to get me to sign up to Telkoms uncapped special they have atm.

Give them you current fault ref and tell the them fault still exists and they need to escalate it.
 
This may be old but I can't find a fix for the fb pictures not loading. I tried Google dns. No luck after flushing cache. Do little on this issue
 
At around 6.20pm, things took a bit long to load. 4Mbps line. Not at home to see if things improved. Any changes or fixes applied in Durban?

Yes, further changes were done in Durban on Saturday to improve the service

Edit: Connection was completely dead a few minutes ago,switched to a backup account (Vox Fatpipe) and all is a OK, again...

I recon they having a few issues with the usage system - got several warnings I've used all my data on an uncapped account :)

Sent it to the social media team..

Usage system is problematic. It hasn't updated despite the streaming and downloading.
