Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

I get my usual weekday evening experience i. e. bad. Gauteng.

Whatever 'fix' that was implemented in JHB/Gauteng has made things worse or at best similar to recent weeks/months.
Browsing painfully slow, streaming impossible.

The entire day was worse than any I had last week and since 5pm exponentially so. Not cool.
 
A quick sanity check on Afrihost account:
Streaming 720p, all else fast.

Telkom - this is unbridled throttling is it not? So what is the schedule/rule/policy?
BTW - I've done less than 47GB for April on 4mb uncapped... TI tracker less than one quarter green.
 
Internet is so slow, streaming non-existing, browsing is so slow as the slowest snail!!!

What is the use of the internet if you cant use it between 5 to 11pm, this is the time when I mostly use the service, because I work during the day and sleep between the 11pm to 6:00am. I hope ranger is gonna fix this, really hoping!!!

Every evening from about 7pm the internet is crazy slow. This is going on for a while. Especially when downloading through a newsreader. Really frustrating.
 
Typical Telkom day for me. 7AM - 12PM line speed, 12PM - 5PM things were still flying, 5PM+ terrible.
 
I find tonight much worse than previously nights. I am surprised not more people are complaining.
 
I'm being throttled after 200 gb on a 2mbline. However when not throttled, torrents run at 200kbs the entire day.

LOL, same here. throttled 24/7. Even during midnight and 6AM. throttled to 45 kilobyte speeds. 25% of what I am paying for.
 
Nope.jpg, Cape Town. Bad ALL DAY, not just the usual after 5pm. Unable to stream anything (even 144p) since this morning. Still in the green, only 72 gigs used this month. This has now been going on for a month and a half, not at all getting the service I'm paying for. To be honest a 100gig capped acount is looking a lot better at this moment, for the same price as the 2 meg barely usable (5-11pm) uncapped. I'm cancelling first thing tomorrow and if things improve during the 1 month I have to give notice I will uncancel ? if that is possible.
 
No, we are aware of experience issues for home uncapped accounts which we plan to address on Tuesday night / Wednesday morning for the Cape Town and Durban sites, based on testing following a change in Gauteng on Friday.

Gaming should not be affected as badly. What game?

Has Cape Town been actioned? I am still having issues....
 
Im on a 4 meg line and have done 485gigs so far. My line is running faster than ever .Downloading some stuff from YouTube.
Downloading between 750 to to 850 KB/s

Tracker has been on red about 3 days now .

Well I guess today is the day, has the fix been implemented and if so does it improve network performance later?

Dunno if the fix has been implemented but my adsl have been stuffed all day, as well as all day yesterday, Durbanville area. Once again everything times out, even .jpg files. Streaming impossible. General browsing is all I can do, with effort.
